Mohammad Abou El Naga

He was born in Tanta, Egypt, 1960

from 1983 till now

He was graduated with honor from Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria and he had Masters Degree in fine art, 1992 Alexandria University then the PhD. Philosophy of Art, Alexandria University

he had a large number of individual exhibitions the first one was Atelier Cairo, Egypt (1992) and the last one was International Exhibition and International Workshop in Romania ( 2006)

Also he participated in group exhibitions the first one was The National Art exhibition, National Art Center Cairo, Egypt((1984- - 2004) the most recent one was 2006 “On / In Paper” Exhibition in Ib’da Gallery with Iraqi-Swedish artist, Madtar Ahmed and Bahraini artist Gamaal Abdul Raheem, Cairo, Egypt.

The most important were tow exhibitions: “Imagining the Book 2002- 2005” and “Form Through The Light 2004-2005”.

He had won some of Awards /Grants / Fellowships the first one was 2nd and 3rd Prize for painting at the Annual Salon of Young Artists, Cairo Egypt (1992 –93), and the most recently one was Creation Prize from King Abdullah of Jordan (2006)

One of his publications was general commissioner for the national project “Imagining the Book III” bibliotheca Alexandria.

M. Abu El Naga was presented by many places like Town House Gallery Cairo, Egypt, Masharrabya Gallery Cairo, Egypt , Kyoto, Japan, Anda Gallery, Amman, Jordan, Dar Al Funoon –Kuwait, and Collective Egyptian Contemporary Art in many places around the world.
